東京 ( 2008 / 10 / 23 )--- 世界最大の動画共有サイト YouTube™ ( www.youtube.jp ) は、このたび、日本最大の音楽著作権管理事業者である社団法人日本音楽著作権協会（本社：東京都渋谷区、理事長 加藤 衛。以下JASRAC）との間で、JASRAC が管理する楽曲のYouTube における利用に関する包括的な利用許諾契約を締結しました。
YouTube はすでに、株式会社ジャパン ライツ クリアランス ( JRC )、株式会社イー ライセンス ( e-License ) とも包括利用許諾契約を締結しており、日本で最大の楽曲数を管理する JASRAC による許諾が加わることにより、ライセンス取得済みの音楽著作物（曲及び歌詞）の範囲が国内最大級のオンラインサービスとなります。この契約による許諾は、レコード会社が制作するミュージックビデオ等の公式コンテンツにおける楽曲の利用、ユーザーが作成するオリジナルビデオにおける楽曲の利用を含む、YouTube のサービス一般における管理楽曲の利用を対象としています。

YouTube で動画による音楽表現の大きな可能性を、パートナーとユーザーに提供し、豊かなコミュニケーションを楽しんでいただけることを期待しています。


TOKYO, JAPAN (October 23, 2008)--- YouTube™ ( www.youtube.jp ) , the leading online video community that allows people to discover, watch and share originally created videos, and the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers ( JASRAC ), Japan's biggest music copyright management association, today announced that we have entered into a comprehensive usage license agreement that will allow YouTube to use all the songs managed by JASRAC.

The comprehensive usage license contract signed by YouTube and JASRAC applies to the usage of copyrighted songs on general services provided by　YouTube, such as usage of original videos that users create.

YouTube has also signed similar contracts with Japan Rights Clearance Inc. ( JRC ) and e-License Inc. ( e-License ). As a result, YouTube now holds legal access to the largest number of copyrighted Japanese songs(including lyrics).
